People always say that the road to success is under construction.
Actually, success is, as a matter of fact, a journey and not a destination. :)
Throughout the few years of my life, my friends have been constantly asking me, what is the key of my success?
Well, I don't think they should be mentioned as SUCCESS, but more to achievements.
Before, I never actually know how to answer that question, and end up staring at the distance thinking of the exact thing to say. (Blurrr..)
To me, it is most important to understand and not just memorize because we can memorize easier if we understand and not understand easier if we memorize.
Now, after giving some thought into it, I can finally sum it up, how I did it.
1.Put some pressure on yourself
DELIBERATELY do it, so that you will not feel relaxed.(This should be done at least 2 weeks before the exam. ;) )
Put up a countdown showing the days to your exam(I didn't do this but it may work, haha)
Make it as less as possible, show it as the number of months or weeks so that the number will be small.
Eg. 2 more weeks instead of 14 more days. The small numbers will scare us more. XD
Besides that, sit with your hardworking friends(Fortunately enough for me, I often have VERY diligent friends), they can put peer pressure on you and you'll feel miserable seeing them study so hard that you finally end up on the table yourself. :)
2. Be good to your educators and friends
This may not seem important but actually is. Nobody likes to help someone who has no respect for others. If you are good to others, then help will come to you, if God wills.
3. Have faith in YOURSELF
Yes, this is the second MOST important key. You, out of all people should believe in you. It doesn't matter if others don't, but you should. Even if you don't actually believe you could pull it off, just pretend as if you do. Then hopefully, you will finally convince yourself and others.
CONFIDENCE is key, to anything. Not over confidence, that's arrogance. Not low confidence, that's weak. Just BELIEVE.
The brain is one complex and most astonishing creation of Allah swt. It has a LOT, really, A LOT of capabilities beyond our imagination. How it can make my hands type on this keyboard is amazing enough.
The brain can do things if we can convince it that it can. That can be done by convincing the owner of the brain, YOU. You can do anything if you believe.
3. Pray and hope.
Yes, this works. Blessing from Allah swt is important. Very. Perform 'solat hajat', a lot. Then, du'a with all your heart, mean it.
Finally, the MOST important of all, that I still practice to this day, and always tell my friends,(Farahyn, you should remember this, :) )
4. Bismillahi tawakkaltu Alallah..
Tawakkal. THE most important key. Right on that very chair when the examination paper is laid right before you. There's nothing else you can do but tawakkal. The only knowledge you bring in the examination hall is all you have, no more than that. Whether you can answer the questions or not, that's for Allah swt to decide. Allah is the only one you can count on to help you that very moment. However, if you still can't get the result you expected, REDHA. Accept it sincerely, without any dissatisfaction. Believe that this is the best for you at this moment and is required for a future success.
I think that is all. I hope it works for you as it worked for me. I'm not saying that I always get the best achievements and categorize myself as very successful. No. I'm not. In fact, I'm not really confident about my previous exam, that didn't go really well. Maybe these steps can help you in a way, I don't know. It's just a form of sharing with my friends.
Thank you for reading. X)
